For another scene, we moved to her studio, where we captured a series of portraits and formal headshots. These weren't your usual, plain, look-at-the-camera shots. Instead, they were unique, functional, and authentic, giving a natural feeling and ease. Unlike your typical “300 headshots” brand photoshoot, these portraits are versatile and can be effectively used for design and content purposes.

After we cooled off in the studio to capture some personal branding content, we went back out into the grassy field to take more creative portraits and then headed to the farm where countless bespoke blossoms grew.

I was able to capture her tending to the garden, playing with her daughter, and putting an arrangement together for me for the road.

The day was so beautiful and creative and not only were we able to create such a successful project, we quickly became great friends.

Nestled in the heart of rural Alabama, Sweetbriar Florals is a flower farm and design studio that serves creative brides and clients worldwide.

Shandyn, the owner and lead designer, reached out to me looking for some brand imagery that would truly and authentically tell the story of her brand.

On a fine April day, complete with blue skies and the signature Alabama heat, we set out to accomplish the mission.

We planned multiple scenes to photograph throughout the day. For the first scene, we set up and styled a tablescape in a grassy field behind her studio to showcase her tablescape florals — it was so much fun to have the opportunity to truly partner with Shandyn and share our creativity and visions.
